The Sensing Nature exhibition celebrates work made with local communities who have creatively engaged with the heritage, significance and stories of the Fenland landscape. It was held at Babylon Arts as part of an 18-month programme developing creative approaches that facilitate connection and engagement with nature for people with low vision, children, young people and the wider public.
Sensing Nature was curated by Basecoat Collective - a group of 15-25 year olds who initiate creative projects in collaboration with Babylon Gallery, and delivered in collaboration with Ely Museum, RNIB and Wicken Fen.
I developed a visual identity in response to the themes, artwork and stories explored in the exhibition across the poster design and interpretation panels. The interpretation panels were printed onto a sustainable paper made from post-consumer waste. The hand made circle textures used in the poster design are inspired by fossil textures, included as 3D prints in the exhibition.
I also created visual floor markers to help  people with low vision navigate the space.
